Unaccompanied minors

We gladly welcome unaccompanied children on board and offer this service on all direct routes to and from Bromma. Unfortunately, we are currently unable to offer this service on other routes, international routes, and flights with stopovers.

For the child's safety, children under 12 years old need to be booked as "Unaccompanied Minors" or travel with an adult. The person meeting the child at the arrival airport must be at least 16 years old.

Booking

Booking is done by selecting UNACCOMPANIED MINOR under TICKET TYPE. Please note that you can book a maximum of two children at a time.

When booking a UM trip, check-in staff will need information on the name, address, and phone number of both the person dropping off and the person picking up the child at each respective airport. This information is provided at the time of booking.

Unaccompanied minors can only travel on direct routes to and from Bromma and not on routes that require a transfer at Bromma. We do not sell tickets for unaccompanied minors on the following direct routes:

  • Gothenburg-Visby
  • Malmö-Visby
  • Sälen-Bromma
  • Sälen-Ängelholm
  • Ängelholm-Visby
  • Norrköping-Visby
  • All international routes

Rebooking

Rebooking the ticket costs 350 SEK per journey and must be done at least 30 minutes before departure via phone with our customer center or your travel agency. It is only possible to rebook the ticket if the same ticket type is available on the new departure.

Departure and arrival

The child must be personally dropped off by a relative (specified at the time of booking) at least 45 minutes before departure. Everyone dropping off and picking up the child must be able to show identification.

Unaccompanied minors must have a UM bag (provided by us) containing information about the booking, the child’s details, and the person picking up the child, including their address and phone number.

The child will be escorted on board by our staff after all other passengers have boarded. The child will be seated where the cabin crew can keep an eye on them at all times.

Upon arrival at the child's destination, a BRA representative will escort the child to the airport's designated meeting point and hand them over to the relatives (specified at the time of booking). Please note that we will not hand over the child to anyone not listed in the booking. The person picking up the child must be able to show identification.

Note: The person dropping off the child must remain at the airport until the plane has taken off.

Domestic travel: 45 minutes before departure

Bagage

The ticket includes one (1) piece of hand luggage with maximum dimensions of 50x40x25cm and a maximum weight of 8kg. Checked baggage can be purchased online or at the airport.

Travel to and from the airport

Unaccompanied minors are not allowed to take the airport bus, taxi, or airport taxi on their own and must always be dropped off and picked up by a relative. The person dropping off/picking up the child must be specified in the child's booking at the time of booking. You must contact us in advance if you need to change the details of the person dropping off/picking up the child. Valid ID must be presented at drop-off/pick-up.

If we need to land at an alternative airport due to weather or technical reasons, you may need to pick up/drop off your child at the alternative airport or the departure airport if the child returns there for the mentioned reasons.

We reserve the right to deny unaccompanied minors from flying with us when we know in advance that there is a risk of landing at another airport. In such cases, we will offer travel at another time or a refund. We do this for your child's safety and comfort.

Currently, we do not accept unaccompanied minors on our international routes.
